On 18 April 2024, the Bulk Carrier "VELA STAR" (GT 44,146, DWT 83651), in partly laden condition, ran aground at km 12 of access channel to the Port of Buenos Aires, Argentina, partially blocking the channel.

Tsavliris despatched the tugs "ONA DON LORENZO" (BP 63 - BHP 4,500) and "ONA TRIUNFO" (BP 60 - BHP 4,930) from Buenos Aires to the assistance of the casualty along with Tsavliris' salvage master.
On the same day, the vessel was refloated and was escorted to km 23 where the services were successfully completed.
